Resources

Hello there,

Below you will find a list of resources that can be useful for you anywhere you live but I will also have resources that will only be helpful for those that are in the greater Kansas City area.  I will continue to add to this list as resources come to my attention.

Remember, KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!  Just reading books and info online can be helpful to enable you to become stronger and healthier so that you can make a change for yourself.  Good luck to you!

Books

I strongly recommend you read this book.  Why Does He Do That!  Through this book you will gain a tremendous amount of knowledge about Domestic Violence and it will help you to see that you are not crazy.

Another great book is, Emotionally Destructive Relationship Relationship by Leslie Vernick.  This book is also very helpful for gaining knowledge about abuse and how to do things to help yourself.

If you have children this book is very helpful.  When Dad Hurts Mom!

Web

Leslie Vernick is a great source for support and information on domestic violence.  She has a blog and a website and also sends out a newsletter.
